Councilman Jose Valdez, Jr. to run for Mayor

Councilman Jose A. Valdez, Jr. has been confirmed that he will run for Mayor of Laredo in 2010. He will face the current field of incumbent Raul G. Salinas, fellow councilman Gene Belmares and activist Carlos Blanco, Jr. Valdez and Blanco both supported Salinas in the run off against former councilman John Galo.
