Anthrax scare in La Bota Ranch

A La Bota ranch resident reportedly received an envelope containing what was reported as a white powder substance on Friday.

Fire department officials responded and say the power did not appear to be anthrax.


LISD adds new curriculum and instruction head

Linda Theret a former high school principal in McKinney, Texas has been named to Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction for LISD.

Several years ago, Theret was accused of abusing power and caused nationwide controversy when one of her daughters was involved in scandalous behavior with several other cheerleaders in her campus.


New United close to full capacity

Reports are that the new United High School is near or at full capacity. According to sources, UISD will need to install new portables to meet student population demand.
