KGNS TV news director Ray Gomez passed away Tuesday morning. Gomez had been with Pro 8 News, the CW and Telemundo for several years as part of KGNS. He became ill over the past week and died because of the illness. Ray Gomez is survived by his wife Diana Fuentes, the editor of the Laredo Morning Times.
