County Commissioner Frank Sciaraffa of precinct one is being sued by Webb County Judge Luis H. Bruni for $57,000 the commissioner apparentley owes Bruni.According to Bruni's attorney, there are two promissory notes signed by the commissioner to pay the money in full within 48 months. Years have past since and the former county judge says nothing has been paid.
Bruni is running to reclaim his former seat next year over County Judge Danny Valdez. He claims this has nothing to do with politics and is a personal matter.

Bruni is so full of it. He "gave" Frank the money...but got pissed off when he lost the election, so now wants the money he "gave" Frank back. They don't call him "LOONEY BRUNI" for nothing.

Bruni also gave Frank political contributions. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! lets not forget Frank is being sued by Rodriguez Oil and Gas for theft. Did you know that Mr.Looney ?!

Raymond Bruni filed suit against Louis in June 2000. Also listed as plaintiffs are Las Minas Materials Company Inc. and Bruni Energy Partnership, both businesses co-owned by the brothers.
ReplyDeleteHe alleged that Louis started two sole-proprietorship businesses, Bruni Energy Corporation and Bruni Energy, without consulting him and has been taking BEP and Las Minas contracts and funds without Raymond's permission to use in support of Bruni Energy and BEC.
Raymond claimed he was denied all access to Las Minas and BEP records.
Las Minas leases property to mine and sell the caliche (clay mixture) located there. BEP was created "for the sole and limited purpose of conducting business with TransTexas Gas Corporation."
Proceeds from BEP were to be used to pay off Las Minas' debt. Raymond alleged Louis took BEP money out of the account, made a check payable to himself for $132,639.75 and subsequently closed the account.
In September 1999, Louis started Bruni Energy, which leases property for the mining and selling of caliche and provides oil field related services.
Raymond argued that Bruni Energy is in direct competition with Las Minas and Louis interfered with existing and prospective customers by switching them to Bruni Energy.
