The Laredo city council voted Monday to put in six million dollars into the gold course project. The council also asked the company interested in building the new gold course to bring a contract in 30 days for approval by the council.
The proposed golf course will be 390 acres with 270 acres exclusive to the golf course and the rest for a park. The location is said to be off Mines Road and will take up to eight months to design. If all goes through, a new golf course will be completed in two years.
