Dr. Severita Sanchez to take over as Martin prinicpal

Laredo Watch has confirmed that LISD will replace current Martin High School prinicpal Blas Martinez with Dr. Severita Sanchez.

Superintendent Ron McLeod will make an official announcement soon. Martin High is currently under stage 5 according to state of Texas, schools with a stage 5 require major restructuring including replacing most of the staff, and turning the school into a charter school.

Sanchez currently served as Executive Director of Compliance & Accountability for LISD. Previously, she worked as a UISD interim superintendent and former principal for both Alexander High School and United South High School.
