"La Ley " nominated for award in the midst of being liquidated

Laredo radio station La Ley 100.5 FM is being nominated for an award as the best hispanic radio station of the year in the entire United States of America. The regional mexican radio format is the number radio station in it's area.

Currently, La Ley's parent company Border Media Partners (BMP) is on the verge of collapse after Goldman Sachs Group, Vestar Capital Partners and D.B. Zwirn & Co. seized Border Media Partners and it's assets are expected to be liquidated soon. BMP President Jeff Hinson is expected to step down by July 31. The company owns several Laredo area radio stations including The Works 94.9 and Hot 106.1
